I’ll be completely honest, I didn’t mean to make this an acronym. I chanced upon it. But it is an acronym, and I’m not going to argue with it. I can say that it’s a tape where I record my findings, but that sounds like I’m forcing it, so I won’t say that.
It looks like the following:
Tag(s)
Author
Paper or e-book
Edition and printing
Book source Zettelkastens have titles of the books in the title of the file, so I changed the T – title to T – tag(s). This way I can organize books by what subject it talks about. Blogs do have a separate place where tag(s) reside, which means I could have removed the T – tag(s) and still have a place for tag(s), but I’m too lazy to change too much things from the original Obsidian note, so I don’t do that.
All Zettelkastens referencing the book is in the folder named as the book, so I thought that E – embedder/backlink is unnecessary. So I changed it to E – edition and printing. It tells you what version of the book I’m referencing.
Edition and printing is enough to find out what version of the source material I’m referencing, so I removed S – seen at and changed P – publish date to P – paper or e-book.
I could have linked the link to buy the book, but there are many ways to buy a book, and I thought it was unnecessary and unfair to limit the book buying website to the one I’m using. So I removed the L – link.
